DRESS CODE

What Makes American Dress Code Different From French Dress Codes?

Debunking The Stigma That Americans Don't Care:

Americans care about the way they dress but styles vary by state, region, and even regions within a state.

There is no 'one' American Look.   Similar to the French, I grew up with the ideology of dressing up nicely to go to a grocery store. The idea of being caught slipping is embarrassing.  This is similar to the way people from Spain, France, and Italy. approach life. Why wait for the perfect moment to wear that coat. Every moment is your moment.

California Fashion Is A Subculture

Northern Californians dress differently than  Southern Californians.  Back when I went in 2019, I noticed that everyone was wearing sweatshirts and long sleeves in April.

While Southern California does get rain and cold weather, our sweat shirts are a lot thinner when it comes to fabric. Clothes are often more tight fitting and we wear crop tops almost year around.

French Fashion

It's not about designer shoes and handbags. It's about good quality items.

I promise you nothing is more French than a good pair of quality jeans or a long dark colored skirt.  Top it off with a Trench coat, bubble Jacket, or a Peak coat then you're winning at life.

If you really want to be on Project runaway , here's some extra tips:

  •  White waist length shirt
  • A blazer you can alternate between business casual and casual
  • Black Dress
  • Shades
  • White striped top

  • Please. Please. Please. Don't wear a  beret. Only tourist and old dudes wear them. 😂😉
